Senior Teacher Role

We are seeking a dynamic Senior Teacher with a desire to teach differently.

In our new Senior Teacher role, we have created a Surveying and Spatial Industry Champion for Queensland schools, responsible for supporting Queensland schools as part of our partnership with The Surveyors’ Trust.

You will support teachers in the selected ‘Lighthouse Schools’ around Queensland, providing professional development to teachers and supporting them to implement our programs in their schools for students. You will run teacher and student programs both online and face to face, and some travel will be required.

You will be passionate about the role of geographic skills to solve problems and using technology to engage students. You will have a real passion for increasing teacher capability and helping teachers achieve success in the classroom.

You will be a key person in a small, dynamic, geographically distributed, and socially conscious team. You will work from home and enjoy a high degree of independence and autonomy to achieve the program outcomes.

About You

You will be joining a team that is focussed on making education fun! We all work from home, but support educators in schools everyday.

You will be based in South East Queensland as this is where the majority of the schools you will be supporting are based.

Travel will be something that you are open to, as the schools we work with enjoy face to face support.

As a passionate educator, you will have experience in STEM and/or Geography, and enjoy taking on new challenges with technology.

Overall, you will be an awesome person, looking for a new challenge.

About the Role

This is a part time (0.6 FTE), 12 month contract, at a Senior Teacher level. There may be the option for further days to bring the position to 0.8 FTE or fulltime.

It is supported through our partnership with The Surveyors’ Trust.

You will work from home, and join a purpose driven team.
