I'd recommend She Maps to any school looking to promote STEAM Education and/ or 21st Century Learning skills to their program. Whilst I was initially a little bit nervous about my drone and ICT knowledge, Katie and the team from She Maps made life very easy and built my understanding, knowledge and confidence so that I was ready to introduce drones to my Year 5 students. The workshops will provide you with all the skills you need to successfully introduce, engage and instill a passion for using drones in real life situations and learning about and interpreting GIS whilst simultaneously developing a range of 21st century learning skills in students without them even realising!

Thanks to She Maps, I can now fly a drone and have many ideas on how I can use drones to enhance learning. I now have the confidence to use drones to create meaningful programs which are connected to community and provide my students with the forever skills needed for our future world.

The SheMaps program empowered our female students to consider a future career in a STEM field. This was achieved by exposing them to outstanding female role models who have been highly successful in their chosen career. The program provided the girls with inspiration to overcome barriers and achieve the best that they can.

SheMaps went above and beyond to organise a truly special event and workshop for our students. Our students were introduced to industry representatives as the workshop coincided with the LOCATE 2022 conference. Having real world connections to people working in the industry, a tour of the exhibition hall and then then hands-on experience with the drones made for a wonderful excursion and experience for our students.

She Maps are an important partner in the process of creating change in our department's curriculum offerings. They provide a hands on experience that clearly relates to Real World situations that is sympathetic to the needs and skill based of participants. Can't recommend their work enough!

The college has a high percentage of kinesthetic learners and the She Maps course had the experience and the pedagogical tools to not just manage these students very well but to have them involved in all facets of the program and achieve the expected outcomes.

SheMaps are the people to turn to if you want to engage female students with drones. They are highly organised, well prepared and are flexible with program design if you need them to meet a specific need of your school. Our Year 8 MLC students had a terrific 3 days with Paul (instructor). He was engaging, enthusiastic and encouraging. I am sure we will continue to work with SheMaps to build on this first introduction into drones at MLC.

SheMaps has designed a unique way for students to learn coding through the use of Drones. Their "hands on approach", enthusiasm and clear communication has allowed our students to learn about drone safety, flying and solving real world challenges. I would highly recommend this to other schools.

A highly engaging experience that demonstrated to the staff the idea that acquire new skills are not impossible and the journey is full of excitement and tension, all in one.
