STEM Career Posters
Did you know that two thirds of children aged nine to eleven draw a man when asked to draw a scientist? Today, women are vastly underrepresented in science and technology industries.
She Maps have created a suite of free posters to celebrate some wonderful role models and the important work they do.Be part of the ‘coolest’ competition on the planet!
Each year, She Maps runs a mapping competition in Australia during Term 2.
This competition is a simple set of lessons where your students use satellite or drone data to map the amount of green shade on your school grounds.
Students will calculate the percentage of shade and create a map that meets cartographic (mapping) conventions. The maps the students create are then entered into the competition.
It’s free to register and gain access to all the fantastic teaching resources.
Note: We accept registrations all year round, and the new updated teaching resources are updated and shared in April each year.
